My RepresentativeEddie Yokley
Biography Rep. Using the G.I. bill, he graduated from East TN State University in 1979 with a B.S. in Geography and Business. He obtained his Real Estate License and Auctioneers License in 1981 and opened Tennessee Realty and managed it until 1992. He was elected Greene County Property Assessor in 1992 and served in that position until he was elected Representative in 2002. He performs charity auctions for many different organizations and operates a small beef farm in Greeneville while serving as State Representative. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1972 through 1975 with the 101st Airborne Division – He is Past President of the West Point Military Academy Parents Club of East Tennessee. He was honored in 2006 by receiving the AMVETS Silver Bayonet Award. He serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Greeneville and was Past Commissioner and Committee Member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was appointed by the Speaker of the House to serve on the P.O.S.T. (Police Officers Standards and Training) Commission. He was recently appointed by Governor Bredesen to serve on the important S.R.E.B. ( Southern Regional Education Board). He was elected by his peers to serve on the powerful Fiscal Review Committee. Rep. Yokely serves on the State and Local Government Committee and Chairman of the Elections Subcommittee. He is also a member of the Commerce Committee where he serves on the Small Business Subcommittee. Rep. Yokley is married, wife Carolyn, and they have two sons; Jordan who is a West Point and Vanderbilt University Medical School graduate now serving as a doctor in the US Army and Tyler, a student at Middle Tennessee University.
