Biography
Elected in 2002 to the 103rd Tennessee General Assembly, Representative John Litz continues to serve the people of Hamblen County. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Litz works as a farmer and understands the needs of both rural and urban Tennesseans.

Currently John serves as Assistant Majority Leader for the House as well as a member of the House Agriculture Committee, State and Local Committee, and the Election Subcommittee.

In addition to his work, Representative Litz and his wife Lisa have have been honored as the 1998 Farm Family of the Year as well as the 2005 Lancaster Sunbelt Tennessee Farmer of the Year.
